I am a fifth grade teacher at Hanes Elementary School in Irving. My students are the smartest in the district. My goals for this year are to ensure all my students pass the TAKS test and go on to be productive sixth graders. I’m very excited about this school year and can’t wait to see how my students develop their minds.

This is really a great idea. Are your students “immersed” (do they all get laptops from school to use during the school year), or do they access the Internet from home or from locations on campus? We had miserable little StudyPro laptops to use inside our classrooms before we were awarded the TIP grant. The iBooks are so much nicer, plus the students are expected to take them home.

Chris and his family just left after their [pre]Thanksgiving visit. His baby is SO big! Even though Taylor is 7 1/2 months older, they’re the same size. Of course, she’s a petite little girl, and Magnus is a BIG boy.
I still want to know when you plan to drive down to G’town to visit us!
